Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #289

I'm playing along with Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #289.  Had some fun with an older stamp set I found in my stash from Papertrey Ink and used some shades of pinks, purples, and a blue pigment ink to stamp the flowers here.  Next I die cut the center circle and stamped the sentiment.
For the inside I stamped the thank you sentiment, and this was a very easy, but quickly needed card to say thank you to my neighbor for watching my much loved Main Coon, Alex (supplied listed below).

Materials Used:
  • Papertrey Ink, Botanical Silhouettes Stamp Set
  • Mama Elephant, Thank You Wishes
  • VersaColor Pigment Inks and Versafine Black Onyx
  • My Favorite Things, Radial Stitched Circles

Altenew June Inspiration Challenge

I'm entering this card in the Altenew June Inspiration Challenge.  It started out easy but turned out to be a little labor intensive.

I started out with a textured cream cardstock and die cut three of the Wild Hibiscus dies into the right border, embossing the gold outline stamp onto some vellum and sandwiching it between a matching cream die cut on the opposite side of the card front. For the outside I used a darker pink/burgundy to die cut the word, 'with sympathy' and adhered with Ranger Multi-Mat Medium.  I used a grid stencil and added some distress ink lightly, and then added some clear enamel dots.  For the inside I colored lighter pink onto the Hibiscus flower and die cut them so they would match the vellum inset.  Ugh...  It turned out nicely, but to be honest I got anal about gluing the vellum and went back with a ton more glue and ending up kind of wrecking the inside...note to self...leave well enough alone!

Materials Used:
  • Altenew - Wild Hibiscus Stamp Set
  • Simon Says Stamp - With Sympathy
  • Cream textured cardstock from Hobby Lobby
  • Clear enamel dots from Michaels
  • Grid Stencil - Not sure where I got this one from
  • Gold Embossing Powder
  • Zig Clean Color Markers
