Simon Says Shimmer and Shine Challenge

Happy almost Fall everyone!  I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Shimmer and Shine Challenge.  To create this A2 card, I began by stamping and embossing the image in gold embossing powder and then painting it in with some zig markers.  They looked pretty tame, so I decided to try out my distress oxide inks for the first time and added some of that over top.  Wow, what a mess I had, but I kept going and spraying with water and blotting it up and spraying some more and was just about to give up when I tried just blotting up the ink between the images with a damp brush and decided I liked the look.  I'm sure it will be many moons before I am any good with oxides.  Practice makes better anyway.  When everything had dried, I used the gold shimmer spray that came in the August Hero Arts Kit to add some glitz.  Lastly, I stamps the sentiment on vellum and gold embossed that cutting it to a strip and adhering to the back of the panel.  Oh, and I used a stitched rectangle die and mounted it to some Simon gray card stock.  Thanks very much for reading and the materials used are listed below:
