All About Layering 2

The focus here was on additional layering and I really wanted to work with the beautiful pink inks that Altenew offers.  I first decided which stamp set to work with and chose this lovely Painted Rose stamp set.  I was inspired by watching Nicole show this set and thought I'd make it look as though I was highlighting a rose by stamping the base layer on either side of the finished rose.  I used Blush as the first color and I just love this color.  For the middle layer I stamped it with Blush about three times and for the top layer I used Pink Diamond ink.  I used Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades for the leaves and stamped multiple times across the bottom to give the impression that there was a garden.  I used a dotted rectangle die to cut the panel and then used the smaller dotted rectangle die in the set to emboss the rose at a diagonal to call attention to it.  I used the sentiment from Altenew's Floral Shadow stamp set, stamping it in Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  I mounted this on a green card stock to match the green of the leaves.  I thought it needed a little something so I used some Ranger Enamel Accent Drops in black to create a splatter look.  I thought the black would tie in the sentiment color.  Thanks so much for reading this (-:
