Stencil Letterpress Technique

Today's focus for the Altenew Educator Certification Program is on stencil techniques, but I actually saw this letterpress technique on Lydia's Corner and I must say I just loved it so much I ordered these two layering stencils right away.

To create this A2 card I took the basic A stencil and embossed it using the Big Shot in the folder sandwich.  Next I placed the stencil over the embossed cardstock (Neenah Solar White) and inked the stencil with Altenew inks Mango Smoothie, Sunkist, Frayed Leaf, and Forest Moss.  It's not easy to see in this photo, but I only used stencil B on the card at the back.  On that card I used the same colors as A to just give it a deeper color.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Altenew Painted Greetings and embossed it in gold embossing powder on vellum.  I cut the vellum with some deckle scissors and wrapped it to the back and taped to the back and adhered the finished panel to some yellow cardstock from Michael's.  Thanks very much for reading this.
